Sure footed mules provide a mode of transportation that was popular with our forefathers. In the rugged terrain of our hills and mountains no more trustworthy steeds exist.

Cougar Country Outfitters specializes in outfitting and guiding hunters and photographers into the wildest parts of the Aravaipa Canyon.

Mountain Lions roam the Galiuro, Santa Teresa, and Pinaleno Mountain ranges. All are accessible and familiar to Richard and Karen Holcomb, owners of Cougar Country Outfitters.

We can outfit experienced and novice hunters as well as nature lovers and photographers.

Richard and Karen are among the best of all the lion hunters anywhere. Together, they have over 50 years of lion hunting experience. A former Control Officer for the State of Nevada, Richard has dealt with problem cougars for many years. Now your good fortune is that you can hunt with outfitters having all this experience for your lion.

You will find Richard and Karen to be the most gentle and friendly folks imaginable. You will really enjoy your time with them and have some great new friends when you leave.

Additional Guests (Per day):
  • Riders $100.00 Includes room, board and mount
  • Non Riders: $50.00 Includes room and board
Deposits: Half down to book a hunt. This reserves your hunt date. Deposits are non-refundable but can be transferred to another hunt as agreed on by the outfitter. Balance due in CASH before the hunt begins.
